Zechariah
Zechariah
À Lapide regards Zechariah as the most Christologically rich of the minor prophets, with eight night visions expounded as a coherent symbolic programme of Messianic hope. The triumphal entry oracle (Zech. 9:9), the thirty pieces of silver (Zech. 11:12–13), the pierced one (Zech. 12:10), and the shepherd struck (Zech. 13:7) are all treated as directly prophetic of the Passion.
