AD TE DOMINE LEVAVI ANIMAM MEAM. Lapide: Psalm 24 (acrostic in Hebrew) — "To Thee, O Lord, I have lifted up my soul." The lifting of the soul = the posture of prayer and hope. Lapide: this is the great prayer of hope — not merely intellectual assent but the whole soul directed upward to God.
