MEMOR SIT DOMINUS OMNIS SACRIFICII TUI. Lapide: Psalm 19 — a prayer for the king before battle. "May the Lord be mindful of all thy sacrifices." Lapide: literally a prayer for David. Allegorically: the Church's prayer for Christ entering His Passion — may the Father accept the sacrifice of the Cross. Tropologically: the Church's prayer for her members entering the battles of spiritual warfare.
