LAUDATE NOMEN DOMINI LAUDATE SERVI DOMINUM. Lapide: Psalm 134 — "Praise ye the name of the Lord: O you His servants, praise the Lord." The liturgical assembly called to praise. Lapide: "qui statis in domo Domini in atriis domus Dei nostri" (who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God) = the clergy and religious whose specific vocation is the Divine Office. Their praise is the center of the Church's life and the model for all Christian prayer.
