ABIIT SALOMON IN ASIONGABER — Lapide identifies this port with Berenice in Josephus (Antiquities III), with Efia in St. Jerome, and with modern Suez, on the Red Sea, whence a passage to the East Indies (India Orientalis) is easy and near, proving Ophir was in the East Indies, not in Peru.
