The concluding doxology that has become the traditional opening of Catholic liturgical functions. Lapide: "Adjutorium nostrum" — our help (not merely my help but OUR: the communal dimension). The Name of the Lord = the divine nature and perfections. "Qui fecit caelum et terram" = the Creator God, whose power over His creation is the ground of our confidence that He can help us.
