CONFITEBOR TIBI DOMINE IN TOTO CORDE MEO. Lapide: Psalm 110 — "I will praise Thee, O Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the just, and in the congregation." Lapide: the whole heart (toto corde) = the total gift of all the soul's faculties in praise. The context: "in the council of the just and in the congregation" — the liturgical assembly. Private prayer is good; liturgical public prayer is more excellent because it is the prayer of the whole Body of Christ.
