CONFITEMINI DOMINO ET INVOCATE NOMEN EIUS. Lapide: Psalm 104 — the great historical psalm retelling the story of salvation from Abraham to the Exodus. "Give glory to the Lord, and call upon His name: declare His deeds among the Gentiles." Lapide: "annuntiate inter gentes opera eius" — the missionary dimension built into the very telling of salvation history. Israel's memory of God's deeds is not a private treasure but a gift to be proclaimed. Lapide: the Church's tradition (the anamnesis in the liturgy) is this continuous proclamation of the mirabilia Dei.
