Deuteronomy — Chapter 27

Cursed be the man that maketh a graven and molten thing, the abomination of the Lord. The twelve curses on Ebal correspond, according to Rupert, to the twelve Apostles—so that the twelve stones erected on the mountain (v. 2) signify the twelve thrones of judgement, and the twelve maledictions against sin are matched by twelve blessings in the Beatitudes.
