JOSABETH FURATA EST EUM DE MEDIO FILIORUM REGIS CUM INTERFICERENTUR — Lapide follows Josephus: Jehosheba hid Joash \"among the bodies of the slain, supposed by Athalia to be dead,\" and concealed him with his nurse for six years in the Temple. Without this act the Davidic line would have been extinguished by Athalia.
