NON ENIM HOMINIS EXERCETIS JUDICIUM SED DOMINI — Jehoshaphat to the judges: \"You are God's vicars, appointed by Him to judge His people; He therefore will demand a strict account of justice rendered or neglected.\" Lapide: let princes and judges often meditate that they exercise God's judgment, and so judge as God Himself would judge.

NON EST ENIM APUD DOMINUM DEUM NOSTRUM INIQUITAS NEC PERSONARUM ACCEPTIO NEC CUPIDO MUNERUM — with God there is no perversity, no respect of persons, no desire of gifts. The model of perfect justice that earthly judges must imitate.
