Verse 7

EST VIR UNUS A QUO POSSUMUS QUAERERE DOMINI VOLUNTATEM — Ahab's confession that there is one man (Micheas) through whom God's will can be known, but \"I hate him, because he never prophesies good to me, but always evil.\" The true prophet is unwelcome to the wicked king.

Verse 20

PROCESSIT SPIRITUS — Lapide: the lying spirit is the devil. The Rabbis fable that this spirit was the soul of Naboth unjustly stoned by Jezabel, avenging itself by seducing Ahab. Lapide rejects this and identifies the spirit as the demon, permitted by God to deceive Ahab's false prophets.
