Verse 11
Asa's prayer at the battle of Zephath: \"DOMINE, NON EST APUD TE ULLA DISTANTIA UTRUM DE PAUCIS AUXILIERIS AN IN PLURIBUS: adjuva nos, Domine Deus noster... tu es Deus noster, non praevaleat contra te homo.\" One of the great battle-prayers of Scripture: God's help does not depend on numbers.
Verse 13
QUIA DOMINO CAEDENTE CONTRITI SUNT — the Ethiopians were routed to their utter destruction \"because the Lord fought for them\" (vel per exercitum suum Angelorum). Asa trusted in God alone and not in numbers.
