Asa's heart was perfect with the Lord: Lapide: \"Perfect\" means in faith and in the worship of the one true God and in rooting out idolatry. In many other things Asa sinned — as when sick he trusted in physicians rather than in God, and when afraid he sent the treasure of the Temple to Ben-hadad. True imperfection does not destroy true faith.
