EXALTABO TE DEUS MEUS REX. Lapide: Psalm 144 — "I will extol Thee, O God, my King: and I will bless Thy name forever; yea, forever and ever." Lapide: the last of the acrostic psalms (Hebrew alphabet). The great psalm of divine kingship and praise that begins the final doxological sequence (Psalms 144-150). "Exaltabo" — I will EXALT Thee: the creature's praise elevates (exalts) the divine name not in reality (for God cannot be increased) but in the creature's own perception and proclamation.
