Micah

In Micah, à Lapide expounds the great Bethlehem prophecy (Mic. 5:2) — quoted by the chief priests to Herod (Mt. 2:6) — as the most geographically precise Messianic oracle of the Old Testament. The prophet's summary of the Law (Mic. 6:8: 'to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God') is treated as the ethical heart of all prophetic religion.
