Deuteronomy — Chapter 2

For forty years the Lord thy God hath been with thee, and thou hast wanted nothing. Moses admonishes Israel not to forget forty years of miraculous Providence—food, clothing, and shoe-leather all preserved without wear—as proof that God governs even the smallest particulars of human life.
