EXCEPTO QUOD NON EST INGRESSUS TEMPLUM DOMINI — Jotham did not imitate his father Ozias's temerity in burning incense; he left that to the priests. Josephus gives him this eulogy: \"No virtue was lacking in him toward God, just toward men, and devoted to the common good.\"
