And thefe be the names of the fonnes of Aaron: his frft begotten Nadab , then Abiu, and Eleazar, and itha- Priefts that were anointed , and whofe hands were filed aid confecra- ted, to doe the function of priefthood. 4. For Nadab and Abiu died, when they offered the {trange fire in the light of our Lord, in the defere of Sinai without children:and Eleazat and Ithamar did the function of priefthood in the prefence of Aaron their father. j And our Lord fpake to Moyfes, faying:o Bring the tribe of Leu1,& make them ftand in the fight of Aaron the Prieft to minifter ynto him , and let them watch, 7, and obferue whatfoeuer pertaineth to the feruice of the multicude be- fore the tabernacle of teftimonie, 8. and let them keep the veflel of the tabernacle , feruing in the minifterie therof, 9. And thou thale giue the Leuites fora guift so, to Aaron andto his fonnes, to whom they are deliered of the children of Irael. But Aaron and his fonnes thou fhalt appoint ouer the feruice of priefthood. (4 ) The ftranger, that approa- cheth to mivifter, fhal die. 1. And our Lord fpake to Moyfes , faying:

and fhal couer it agayne with a couer of Llaathtae sktanes , and thal fpread ouer it a cloth alof hyacinth, and fhal draw in the barres. 7. The tabel alfo of propofition they thal wrap in a cloth of hyacinth, and thal put with itthe ceafers aid litle morters , the goblets and cups to powre the libaments : the breads fhal be alwayes onit: 8. and they inal fpread ouer it a cloth of icarlet , which againe they fhal couer witha , veile of ianthine skinnes , and fhal put in the barres, 9. They thal : take alfo a cloth of hiacinth wherwith they fhal couer the can- ! dleftick with the lamps and tongs therof and fnuffers and al the : veflels of oyle , which are aeceffarie for the dreffing of the lamps : 10, and ouer al they thal put a couer of ianthise skinnes , and put in the barres. 11. Moreouerthe golden altar alfo they thal wrap in a cloth of hyacinth , and ihal {pread ouer it a couer of ianthine skinnes, and put in the barres.12.Al the veffels wherwith the miniftration is done in the Sandtuarie, they thal wrap in acloth of hiacinth and thal {pread over it a cover of ia:thine skianes , and putiabarres. 13. But thealcar a!fo they fhal make cleane from the afhes,& thal wrap itin a purple cloth, 14,and fhal put with ic al the veffels ,that they vfe-in the minifterie therof,that is to fay, fire pannes, fle. hooks & torkes, pot-hooks and fhouels. Al the veffels of the altar together they fhal couer with a veile of ianthine fhinnes,and thal put in the barres.15.And when Aaron and his fonnes haue wrapped vp the Sanétuarie & the veffels therof inthe r-- mouing ofthe campe , then thaithe fonnes of Caath enter ia to carte the things wrapped vp:and ticy {hal not touch the veffels of the Sanctuaric, left they dic. Thefe are the burdens of the fonnes of Caath inthe ta- hernacle of couenant : 16, ouer whom fhal be Eleazar the fonne of Aaron the Prieft,ro whofe charge perteyneth rhe oyle to dreffe the lam- pes, andthe incenfe of compolition , and the facrifice , that is alwayes offered , and the oyle of viétion, and whatfoeuer perteyneth to the Ctuaric, 17. I haue taken the Leuites from the children of Ifrael , for euerie firft borae, that openeth the matrice among the children of Ifrael, and the Leuives fhalbe mine. 13. For the firftborne is mine : fince I ftrucke the firit borne in the Land of Agypt : I haue fanctitied to me what foe- uer is firft borne in [frael from man vnto beaft, they are mine:I the Lord. 14. And our Lord fpake to Moyfes inthe defert of Sinai,faying: 15.’ Nuinber the fonnes of Leui by the houfes of their fathers and their families,cuerie male trom one month & vpward.16.Mcyfes numbred, as our Lord had comanded, 17.& there were tound theionnes of Leui by their names, Gerfon & Caath and Merari.18.The fonnes of Gerfon: Lebni & Semei.1g. The fonnes of Caath:Amram,and lefaar, Hebron,& Ozicl.zo. The foues of Merari: Moholi & Mufi.21.Of Gerfon were two families,the Lebnitical ,& Semcitical:22.of who were numbred the pee- ple of male fexe fr6 one month & vpward,feuen thoufand fie hundred. 23. Vader their cuftodie fhal be the bords of the tabernacle, and the barres,and the pillers and their feete, and al things that pertaine tohis kind of feruice: 37 and the pillers of the court round about with: their teete , and the pinaes with the cords. 38. Al the Leuites, that Moyfes and Aaron numbred, according to the precept of our Lord by their tamilics inthe male kind. ‘trom one month and vpward , were twentie two thoufand. go. Number not the tribe of Leui,, neither thalt thou put the fumme of them with the children of If{rael: 50. but appoint them ouer the tabernacle of teftimonie,and al the veffel therof, and whatfoeuer pertaineth to the ceremonies, They thal carie the taber- naele and althe turnicure therot : and they thal be in the minifterie,and fhal pitch round about the tabernacle. 5 1. When youareto-goe torward, the Leuites thal take downe the tabernacle : when you are to campe, they thal fet icvp. What (6) itranger foeuer commeth to it, he fhal be ftaine.52.And the children ot Ifrael thal campe euerie man by his troups and bands and hofte. 53. Moreouer the Leuites ihal pitch their tents round about the tabernacle , left there come indignation vpon the mul- titude of the children ef Ifrael, and they fhal watch in the cuftodies of the tabernacle of te{timonie. 54.
